Privacy notice
StockUp is responsible for personal information handled through this website. This notice explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
If you place an order, we receive contact, delivery, order and payment-status information needed to fulfil it. We also retain the selected kit, quantity, colours, delivery service and payment-provider order reference. The connected payment provider processes payment details; StockUp does not receive or store your full card number.
When an order starts from a tagged campaign link, we may attach the campaign labels, referring website hostname and StockUp landing-page path to that checkout. This helps us understand which launch activity brings genuine orders. We do not attach the full referring URL, unrelated query values or a browsing history.
If you request the first-order discount, we store the email address required to provide and recognise that offer, the personal promotion identifier, issue and expiry dates, delivery status and whether the offer has been redeemed where this can be checked reliably. The form also gives you a prominent opportunity to opt out of occasional emails about similar StockUp products and offers when we collect your address. We record that preference and honour any later unsubscribe request.
When you use the app, we process your account identifier, household membership, claimed puck identifiers, preferred products and brands, shopping-list items, activity attribution, notification choices and basic device information needed for push notifications and security. We do not store payment-card details in the app.
Why we use it
- To process, deliver and support an order, where necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and consumer-service records where required by law.
- For proportionate fraud prevention, security and service improvement in our legitimate interests.
- To measure which StockUp campaign links lead to checkout and genuine orders, using limited campaign labels and referring-site information in our legitimate interests.
- To verify genuine StockUp pucks, synchronise a household list and deliver the service requested by household members.
- To provide the first-order code you request, prevent duplicate or abusive requests and enforce its single-use expiry rules.
- Where you request a purchase discount and do not opt out at that point, to send occasional emails about similar StockUp products and offers under the customer soft opt-in. Every marketing email will provide an easy unsubscribe option.
Who receives it
Information is shared only as needed with service providers that host the website and private databases, provide Apple or Google sign-in, process payments, deliver transactional or permitted marketing email, deliver app notifications, or carry parcels. Household list information is visible only to members of that household. We do not sell personal information. Some providers may process data outside the UK using recognised safeguards.
How long we keep it
Order and accounting records may be retained for up to six years where needed for tax, contract and legal purposes. First-order offer and email-preference records are retained while needed to administer the offer and honour suppression, or until deletion is requested, subject to necessary fraud-prevention and do-not-contact records. Payment webhook event identifiers and delivery states are retained to prevent duplicated orders and messages. App account and household data is retained while the account is active, then deleted or anonymised following an account-deletion request except where security, dispute or legal records must be kept for a limited period. Security logs are kept for shorter operational periods.
Your choices
You can opt out when requesting the discount, unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email, manage the same preference at stock-up.co.uk/email-preferences, or contact us at any time. Marketing opt-out does not stop requested discount codes, receipts, account messages or essential order updates. You may also ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your information, or object to certain uses. These rights can depend on the circumstances and legal retention duties.
Cookies and advertising measurement
The hosting and checkout services may use essential storage and routine technical request data needed to operate, secure and complete a purchase. These essential functions do not depend on advertising consent.
StockUp offers a separate choice for optional Meta Pixel advertising measurement. The Pixel is not downloaded and Meta cookies are not set unless you actively choose “Allow advertising measurement”. If allowed, Meta receives the page URL, browser and device signals, and events for a product view, checkout start or verified purchase. A purchase event contains the kit identifier, quantity, currency and amount paid. StockUp deliberately does not send Meta your name, email address, delivery address, payment-card details or selected colours.
Meta may use identifiers including _fbp and _fbc to provide advertising and site measurement services. Meta states that these cookies last up to 90 days. You can reject tracking without losing access to the website or checkout, and can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie choices” button. Withdrawing consent stops future events from this browser and removes the Meta cookies that StockUp can access.
Where you allow this measurement, the lawful basis for the optional browser storage and associated processing is your consent. Meta’s own processing is explained in its Cookies Policy.
